Beer Gin & Cricket Festival

Burton Latimer Town Cricket Club, Kettering Road, Burton Latimer

Three evenings of live music from three different bands, four days of cricket and a large variety of beers & gins for you to sample over the weekend. Everyone is welcome to join us.

  • Friday 23rd: Festival opens at 5pm. Ladies cricket from 6pm and live music from Left Hand Thredd at 8pm.
  • Saturday 24th: Open from 12pm. 1st and 3rd Team Cricket from 12pm and live music from The Furzey Suite at 8pm.
  • Sunday 25th: Open from 12pm. Friendly Cricket Match from 1pm and live music from Doctor Moonshine at 8pm.
  • Monday 26th: Open from 12pm. Family Fun Cricket from 1pm.

Stalls selling fruit and vegetables, local farm meat, free range eggs…and more. The Friends of St Mary’s Church will have a stall selling tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes – together with books and CDs. If you have unwanted books or CDs in saleable condition, you can donate them at the market.

The Guides will be holding their monthly coffee morning today. Bacon rolls, cakes, and hot drinks will be served. All proceeds to the upkeep of the building.

Heritage Museum: new exhibition starts today

10am – 1pm, the Heritage Museum, Civic Centre, Burton Latimer

The Heritage Museum’s latest exhibition – called ‘Burton in the 1930’s – the end of an era’ – opens today. The items on display show what Burton Latimer was like in the years leading up to the 2nd World War. The exhibition will be open from 10am to 1pm every Thursday and Saturday until Saturday 7th December. As usual, entrance is free.
