Anne and her friends will be at the Bowls Club with a selection of men’s and women’s clothing for sale.

Farmers Market

9am – 1pm, Millennium Garden, High Street, Burton Latimer

Stalls selling fruit and vegetables, local farm meat, free range eggs…and more. The Friends of St Mary’s Church will have a stall selling tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes – together with books and CDs. If you have unwanted books or CDs in saleable condition, you can donate them at the market.

Coffee morning

9.30am – 12noon, the Guiding Centre, Alexandra Street, Burton Latimer

The guides will be holding their monthly coffee morning today – this time, hosted by Burton Latimer District. Bacon butties will be for sale, along with hot drinks and cake.

New Heritage Museum exhibition – starts today

10am – 1pm, the Heritage Museum, High Street, Burton Latimer

The Heritage Museum’s latest exhibition – called “Our Sporting Town, Then and Now” – opens today. A coffee morning will also be held.

The museum will be open between 10am and 1pm every Thursday and Saturday until 27th June. As usual, admission is free.

The election of officers and trustees of the society will take place at this evening’s AGM – and members are also invited to speak on any aspect of the running of the society.

After the business part of the meeting Nick Smith will give a talk about his life in the Northamptonshire Constabulary – entitled ‘My Days in Blue’. Refreshments will be available, and there will be a raffle.
