A public forum will take place during the meeting to give members of the public and the press the opportunity to address the Town Council on any matters they wish to raise.

The guest speaker will be Bryan King, who will be showing slides and talking about his trip to Antarctica via the Falklands & South Georgia. All ladies are very welcome.

The Friends of Burton Latimer Library will host afternoon tea today. Tea, coffee and homemade cakes will be served at a cost of £1.50 per person.

The Friends of Burton Latimer Library will be holding their monthly coffee morning today. The PCSO will read to the children from noon.

Baptist Church - men's breakfast
8am, the Assembly Room, Meeting Lane, Burton Latimer
The Baptist Church holds a Men’s Breakfast once a month (usually on the third Saturday) for about an hour - for breakfast, to listen to a speaker and to have a good time of fellowship. Today's speaker will be Dave from St Jude’s Community Drop in Centre, Kettering, and all (men!) are welcome. The price for a breakfast of sausage, bacon and mushrooms is £2. The ‘chef’ needs to know who will be coming by the Thursday prior to the date and for this purpose please phone Derek on 01536 722328 or Stephen on 01536 722172.

Toasted tea-cakes will be on sale, plus home made cakes and tea/coffee - as well as a bric-a-brac and Fairtrade stall. All proceeds in aid of The Parkinsons Society.

In association with The National Gardens Scheme, Beech House garden will be open today for the viewing of snowdrops and hellebores. Entrance is £3 per adult, with accompanying children free. Refreshments will be available.

Children's Society - table top sale

Monthly farmers market
9am - 1pm, Millennium Garden, High Street, Burton Latimer
As usual there will be stalls selling fruit and vegetables, local farm meat, free range eggs and speciality cheeses. The Friends of St Mary's Church will have a stall selling tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes. The local Police Safer Community Team will also be there to meet people and answer questions.
