Councillors
Fergus Macdonald
I have now lived in Burton Latimer with my wife Irene for more than 25 years. Having recently retired I feel that I now have both the time and energy to help Burton Latimer to move forward on a number of fronts.
Most of my working life was spent in various senior management positions, and I have developed a "can do" attitude which I am confident will be of benefit to the town.
On the town council I am the highways representative, which involves liaising with both Northamptonshire County Council and Kettering Borough Council - and whilst we still have a long way to go, I do believe that significant progress has been made. I am also on the council's finance & general purposes committee, planning committee, and BLAST. I also get involved in other matters such as speed watch and many general maintenance matters.
My main objective is to try to ensure that Burton Latimer is a progressive, safe and pleasant place to live and do business, in the 21st century.
