David Gunn (Deputy Town Mayor)
I grew up in Burton Latimer from the age of four, and attended both infant and junior schools in the town.
Over the years I have seen many changes in Burton - some good and some not so good. Like many, I voiced my opinions as to how I think Burton should progress as a town, and I joined the council in January 2007 so that I could help shape our town for the better and give something back to our community. This includes listening to what our residents have to say, trying to implement their wishes, and being ready to help in any way I can.
I want to see Burton Latimer Town Centre improved, with better public areas and shopping facilities. I also have a deep desire for improving education in the area, with Burton Latimer being put forward as the prime candidate town for a new Secondary School.
Outside council duties I enjoy socialising, dining out, keep fit, morotcycling, DIY, wildlife and the countryside.
