Burton Latimer Town Council's annual charity ball has historically taken place in February. Over the years the event has been held at different venues, including Wicksteed Park and (this year) Kettering Park Hotel.

Our councillors are now looking ahead to 2012, and are keen to make the ball a really special occasion during what will be the Queen's diamond jubilee year. One idea being considered is to shift the ball from February to a summer month. They are also exploring the possibility of holding the event in a marquee at Harrowden Hall - the home of Wellingborough Golf Club.

Wherever - and whenever - next year's ball takes place, it is expected that the overall cost of the evening will broadly be in line with this year's event. However, before going any further with these ideas, our councillors would like to hear your views on these proposals.
